There are many automobiles on the highway everyday. Some think that automotive exhaust systems are the main reason for the great amount of air pollution. Typically, vehicle designers take this into consideration while designing new vehicles that will eventually hit the market for purchase by consumers.
For instance, tractor pulls are a well known recreation for most people located in an agricultural area. Tractor pulls use diesel fuel, and the black smoke which goes into the air as a result of diesel engine automotive exhaust systems releases an extreme amount of carbon which is increasing the temperature of the globe.
The black smoke released as a result of tractor pulls is useless. The simple fact being, there is no purpose for all this air pollution. The winner of the tractor pull gets money and/or a trophy for all the air pollution released.
Spectators are amazed at the power of the diesel engines, and therefore are mesmerized at the amount of toxins released. Meanwhile, there is no production of anything and the amount of carbon released is for a mere contest.
Basically, if the members involved in these tractor pull contests were limited to using a natural diesel product, the outcome of the contest would be better for everyone. These contests include highway legal vehicles as well as farm machinery. The object of winning the contest hinges on the strength of the engine pulling the weight.
In summary, there are safer contests to be involved in which do not take a big chunk out of the ozone. Although, children and adults as well enjoy these power contests, fans and spectators need to realize the harm that is done for a mere trophy. Trophies and money will not be of use when the human race is extinct because the Earth is too hot to live on.
